Nottingham has its own airport – East Midlands Airport (EMA). It is served by both international and internal flights. They have a list of the cities that fly there here.
If you cannot fly directly into EMA, then you can get to Nottingham by flying to London, Birmingham or Manchester and taking the train from there to Nottingham.
Approximate train times to Nottingham station:
- London Heathrow – 3 hours 15 mins
- Birmingham International – 1 hour 45 mins
- Manchester – 2 hours 30 mins
You can book UK rail tickets using the Trainline website. These tickets can be collected from machines in the station or they can be posted to you (even internationally).
You can drive to either NTU or directly to the venue. There are car rental locations at all UK airports and next to most UK major rail stations.

Accommodation in Nottingham
If you need or want to spend the night in Nottingham before or after the event then there are lots of good hotels – at least in the city centre. Trip Advisor provides a useful starting point here.
There is a Jury’s Inn next to the station – ranked 9th in Nottingham by Trip Advisor.
The Premier Inn (Nottingham City Centre) is very centrally located- and is ranked 3rd in Nottingham by Trip Advisor.
